I am…
A coffee addict
Uncomfortable sitting still
Passionate about uplifting leaders and their teams
I get shit done
When I was young I drew a picture of what I wanted to be when I grew up. I drew a picture of the tellers at the local bank.
Fast forward to finishing up at school and needing a full-time job when Dad reminded me of that picture. Turns out the bank was hiring and that’s exactly what my first fulltime job was…a teller at the same bank and branch that I drew as a wee thing…and the rest is history.
The bank was good to me. I had the opportunity to try all the jobs under the sun, allowing me plenty of chances to learn, while also going to university and starting a family. Through this I had exposure to great leaders and great thinkers. And some not-so-great leaders too.
After living the big-city, corporate life our family wanted a change and Mid Canterbury was calling.
So, we uprooted and shifted south. Close to family, close to lakes, mountains and rivers, less than 10 minutes’ drive to all the local places (a dream after 30 minutes to get to the nearest roundabout in Auckland!).
While the location has changed, I relish the corporate environment, especially where I get to use my experience to improve your leadership.
Through my career, if I was a leader of a team or worked within a team, I always defaulted to building capability in others. I wanted everyone around me to feel confident, from team members to senior leaders. I saw how this became a point of difference and elevated performance in my teams. And when we embrace our differences, we level up even more.
So here I am, ready to help you feel calm and confident that your team is the best they can be.
